Dear Ladies and Germs,
Man, I gots some news imma just itchin' to holler 'bout!

We are putting the finishing touches on the new CD titled "Devil's Acre Overture". Yep! We got that badass sound alchemist Oz Fritz up in that studio, and he was twiddlin'dem knobs like a madman! We got 13 tunes on this here record. I still call 'em records cause I still remember dem as records. These songs are soundin' killer. I would venture to say that after hearing the rough tracks that this recording is exponentially better than the last one, and the last one didn't suck at all! But I'm biased. Anyhoo, sad to say our good friend and drummer extraordinaire Mr. Micah McClain sustained an injury and was not able to make this recording. Much love from the whole "Nation" and we wish him a speedy recovery. Luckily, Mr. Wes Anderson was able to swing those sticks and pound those skins for us in the studio. We say thank you Wes Anderson! I played with Wes in Les Claypool's Frog Brigade, he's a good fit. He also just did a stint with Cirque du Soliel, and some may remember him from Idiot Flesh. We are fortunate to always play with such talented people. We still gots some work to do on this thing before it's totally finished, but I really can't wait for you good folks out there to hear it. Honestly I think it'll be the best record I have been a part of... Serious!

Well I gotta stack o' empty Stella bottles in front of me, and a full one calling my name.
Smell ya later.

Hiya folks,
It's been a while and I gotta lotta talk to ya 'bout, so let's go!

First, it is my privilege to announce to the world, another semi-permanent addition to our whacky soiree! On that there squeeze box accordion, Mr. Rob Reich.. Tah dah!! Rob is a very busy man, and in high demand. Lucky for us, he's into doing all the gigs and recordings he has time for. Rob is one serious badass musician, it is truly an honor to have his presence in the fold.

Next... You can now purchase songs off our fancy CD "Music for Livers" on your favorite download sites like iTunes and the like. Woo hoo! Come and git it!

Guess what? We're working on the new CD as we speak. So far we got about 10 new songs we're messing with, and more in the shoot! Right now, we're demo-ing out the songs to make sure that they are the best possible.(we'll be mixing 'em into our live sets.) We got the mighty Oz Fritz on board again to record it, and I'm psyched! Look for a release in spring '06.

And finally... We gots some gigs coming up (check the shows page), where we will be showing off some new tunes and also some holiday songs I wrote. I personally recommend the New Years Eve show at Blake's in Berkeley with Faun Fables, this is going to be a barn burner!

Well, here at The Kehoe Nation, we wish everybody the best for the Holidaze, and health and prosperity in the new year!

Always in yer service,
Kehoe

Hola, people of Earth and beyond,

We have a special show comin' up in Sept. On the 18th to be exact. This show is a benefit put on by our own "stand up guy with a stand up bass" Amir Zitro. All proceeds will be going to the Hergl School.

Hergl School is a private, nonprofit, residential and day school specializing in the education and treatment of children with developmental disabilities. Hergl School provides summer school sessions free of charge during the four weeks that public agencies do not fund programming. Our Goal is to raise $20,000.00 to help fund the summer program.

Also joining The Kehoe Nation on this bill are The Muscletones (featuring members of Psychotic Pineapple, The Tubes, and Starship) and opening is Roger That. There's gonna be food, auctions, and a raffle for prizes. This is something that is near and dear to our hearts, so we urge everyone to come out and support this very worthy cause. There are still sponsorship opportunities available. If you have any questions or comments get a hold of Big Daddy Amir at hergleschoolbenifit@yahoo.com.

Over and out, Kehoe

Woo hoo! Chickity check this out! Those nice folks over at Guitar Player Mag sure had a bunch of nice things to say 'bout yours truly.

http://www.guitarplayer.com/story.asp?sectioncode=5&storycode=9617

I gotta say, they do have impeccable taste! Thank all a ya'll that made it out to the show last week, and a "BIG WET AND SLOPPY TONGUE KISS" to Jimmy Leslie and the fine staff over at GP.

Don't miss "The Kehoe Nation" supporting Eric McFadden Trio @ The Independent S.F., this Fri the 5th. Also on the bill "Griddle", featuring Kimo Ball, who is a badass! A night of splendid guitars. That's what I'm callin' it anyway.

Dear friends. It is a great pleasure to announce two new additions to our fine musical family. First, Mr. Cornelius Boots has been helping us out and sitting in for a number of shows now. He is an amazing musician and performer. Whether he's ripping it up on that clarinet on a polka, or belting it out, on his baritone sax, his presence is a boost to our shows and to our souls, and I'm proud to say that he will be a permanent fixture. We are gonna have to work in that whacky robot bass clarinet of his, into the set pronto. Also... a very good friend of Boots' by the name of Micah McClain has landed the drumming position. This man is a serious BADASS as well! His playing has lifted the level of musicianship in our group to a new high. We welcome these two very talented gentlemen to our fold. So... LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!
I'm friggin' stoked!

We have been contacted by the great Guitar Player Magazine to do a guitar spotlight showcase show. We are quite proud and excited to be selected for this series. The show is Tues July 23rd here in S.F. @ John Lee Hooker's Boom Boom Room (see shows page). This, as you can imagine is a very important show for us. We invite one and all to this event for fun and frolic. Come see The Kehoe Nation in action and help us de-virginize our new drummer. Jon Korty and friends will close the night out with your good ol'
buddy Bryan Kehoe on guitar. This will be an epic event, don't miss it.

Speaking of epic events, Fri Aug 5th we'll be supporting the Eric McFadden Trio http://www.ericmcfadden.com/ @ The Independent. If you like killer guitar players, you can't miss this guy. Eric is one of my favorites.

That's it. I'm outee, beeotches!

Greetings and salutations to all of "The Kehoe Nation"! Gotta whole lotta crap to tell ya about.

First off, I'd like to invite all the good folks that live in and around the S.F. Area to come on down to the Bottom of the Hill this Saturday the 25th. We'll be headlinin'
this shin dig, and it should be a blast! Lotsa good acts on this bill.

Also... While we are still trying to find the permanent drummer, there are a few side projects of note.

Without lettin' the kat totally out of the bag, my "cousin", if you will, "Gordo", plays a mean guitar in a band called "Electric Apricot". We'll....
Um...er...they'll be playin' at the High Sierra Music Fest, up in the mountains on July 2nd.

If you haven't checked it out, Doctor Mongrol's Medicine Show is rearing it's ugly head again. This combo features myself on the Geet-tar, a very talented young man named Micah McClain on the drums, and by far the best name in the business, Mr. Cornelius Boots playin' that crazy robot bass clarinet. This is a cool thing to check out. We call it, "Industrial Delta Blues". Think, the "Melvin's" and Robert Johnson drinking cheap whiskey in the mud! Wed July 26th @ Hotel Utah.

Finally... My good friend Jonathan Korty, keyboardist for S.F. legends Vinyl, invited Amir and I to gig with him down at the Boom Boom Room July 26th. We haven't put a set list together as of yet, but it should be pretty cool. I'm gonna try and git ol' Amir to bust out his electric bass on this one. We'll see what happens.

Jimminey Crimeny Christmas, I am one long winded bag o' hot air! Thank you for your patience. Gotsa go now, my hairless, human eared, lab rats are famished, and tonite they demand Thai food.

Smell ya later

Hey there friends and neighbors (or neighbours for all ya'll up north) I forgot to crow about my picture in Rolling Stone mag. on page 42 of the Feb 10th, 2005 issue. Yep, there is yer buddy Bryan Kehoe with The Les Claypool Frog Brigade. I called my mama and sang her the Dr. Hook song "I'm on page 42 of the Rolling Stone"!!

Here's another funny bit of info. In the Spring '05 Pottery Barn catalogue, somebody is a fan, cause on page 15 on a chalkboard hanging on the wall, it reads "The Kehoe Nation show 9:30 P.M.!!!". That cracked me up!!

Also a couple of nice reviews can be read at these links...

http://www.zeromag.com/articles/article_view.php?id=245&pi=0
http://www.powerslave.com/showreviews/showreview.php?showreview_id=372

Both Powerslave and Zero magazine had some very kind words and we thank them mucho! Don't forget the shows coming up @ Whiskey Dick's Saloon up in Tahoe with Captured! By Robots and Dynamite 8, April Fool's Day, and the FREE show @ Slim's April 8th (check shows page).

See ya when we see ya.

Howdy friends and neighbors! Got a lot to chit chat about. So let's git this thing going fer Kay-Rice-Sakes.

First, I am sad to announce the departure of our good friends Mr. Tim (Soya) Solyan and Mr. Joaquin Spengemann. It's quite a heartbreak, and we are so sad to see them go. We wish all the best for these great guys and slammin' musicians, and we thank them for their tireless duty here in "The Nation"!
We are currently auditioning drummers to fill the large void left by these "Titans of Time". If you think you got the chops and are interested in a try out contact: theband@thekehoenation.com and bring yer A game!

In the meantime we gots some shows coming up. The hell you say!?! Yep! We are very fortuitous to have our new good friend Mike "The Gooch" Gutsch (rhymes with Butch) sit in with us and pound the skins! We welcome The Gooch with happy, loving, druken, groping arms. Which reminds me of a joke...
What did the octopus say when it ran into a set of bagpipes?
I'd screw her if I could get her out of her pajamas! Okay that joke sucks.
Anyway... For those in the Bay Area come on up to South Lake Tahoe and witness the spectacle of The Kehoe Nation, as we open for Captured! by Robots and Dynamite 8, Fri April 1st.(see shows page fer details). Also...
We gots a show @ Slim's here in the city. Fri April 8th. Did I forget to mention... IT'S FREE!!!! That's right folks a free show in SF. Hell is freezing over! That means you can spend more $$$ on beer and MERCH!!!!!!

And finally... Got yet another side project called Doctor Mongrol featuring the mighty Cornelius Boots and his robot bass clarinet. Also in the band the talented Micah McClain on drums. Imma gonna sang and pluck that ol' gitfiddle! Described as "industrial swamp blues", we will be supporting the magnificent "Carney Ball Johnson"
@ The Ivy Room in Albany CA Tax Day Fri April 15th.

Well this is yer ol' buddy Bryan Kehoe signing out, and remember kids... If ya can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit!!!

How do!! Finally got some time to sit down and write a little note to get caught up. I had a good ol’ time New Year’s Eve gigging with “The Les Claypool Frog Brigade” at the Fillmore here in SF (check out the pics here  http://wildlupin.com/frogout04 ). Then Les took us boys on to The Jam Cruise. That was a wild party on the open seas! Just image sumptin’ like 100 bands playing what seemed like 24/7 on a cruise ship to the Bahamas. 2500 partiers rockin’ out for a week. It didn’t suck! When I finally recovered, I jumped down to the “OC” for the NAMM convention in Anahiem. It’s a trade show for gear. I helped Zinky out pimping his badass amps. Got a chance to hang with some old friends, and make some new friends, and see some great players.

In more relevant news, we got some gigs coming up, and the debut of a little side project called
The Kehoe Nation presents “The Ragtag Good ol’ Timey Band” (see the shows page). It’s a less than plugged in version of the “Nation” but with a more “old timey” vibe, with some interesting hard rock and metal covers done in waltz, polka, and delta blues style!

Been busy as a beaver writing for a new recording so look forward to some new material in March. We plan gigging more, and playing a lot of new material this year, because that’s what we do, gawdammit!!

Okay then, that’s all the news fit to print, I gotta git back to my gimp! Down gimp, Down!!

Wake the kids, and call the neighbors the new CD is here!! Be the first ones on your block to own it. Be the envy of your friends. Hi there folks, this is your friend Bryan Kehoe here.

1 st of all I’d like to thank all you good folks for all the support you’ve shown us, The Kehoe Nation, over the last year. It’s a great feeling to get such a positive response, from all ya’ll. So…thanks again!

Next… you may or may not know, the Ministry thing ended up not working out for me. I’ll spare everyone the gory details, but one day I hope to share this amazing story. I do wish these guys all the best, and I feel the new record “Houses of the Mole” is their best recording yet to date…serious!

Check out the cool CD cover art!

Which brings me to the biggest news of all!… speaking of new records… ta dah!… I am proud to say that The Kehoe Nation’s first full length recording will be available around the end of November! The title being “Music for Livers”. It’s a fine, fine recording that we all are quite proud of. The CD release party will be held Wed. Nov 24 th @ The Bottom of the Hill, here in S.F. That’s right! You can come down to the show, buy a copy of this fine CD and bring it home to Mom the next day to listen to, while carvin’ up ol’ Thom Turkey!! After this show we will have the CD and other merchandise (including tee shirts, stickers, etc…) available on line! Right now we are ironing out all of the details so please stay tuned for additional info.

Wow, that’s a mouthful. Well that’s all the news that’s fit to print for now. Hope to see ya’ll at the big show.

Adios amigos,

Kehoe

Welcome to the new news section of The Kehoe Nation web site!

For starters, the band has just finished recording their 12 song CD overseen by the world renowned Oz Fritz at the helm, engineering, mixing and mastering the CD. It should be available for purchase in the very near future. Be sure to check back for more info.

Bryan Kehoe is currently in Texas rehearsing in the band Ministry, getting ready to go on a big world tour. You can be sure he’ll have many wild adventures with those fellas along the way!

Kehoe will be adding his words to the news section soon, filling in details about what he is up to and how things are going with Ministry. Check back...this could be very interesting.

Needless to say, live shows of The Kehoe Nation are temporarily on hold until Kehoe gets back to the Bay Area. You can be sure that the second he has a chance, the Power of The Kehoe Nation will recommence!
